PR Made Easy Course In Association With Business West

The PR Catalyst was appointed to deliver PR training courses to SMEs and startups. Cameron Maddocks is Marketing & Events Manager at drinks company Silver Swift. He attended a PR Made Easy workshop which Rhona runs for Business West. Cameron says “It was really insightful, loads and loads of useful content which we are taking away and activating in our marketing campaigns to grow our business. We learned the best way to approach editors and journalists - the language to use, how to catch their attention, and what to include in a press release. It was awesome!” Silver Swift has won two awards and been mentioned in Tatler, Bath Life, Speciality Food, The Spirits Business and Fine Foods Digest.

The Global Banker Technology Awards

"Judges read over 300 entries covering the full range of technologies used by every type of bank globally. They rely upon the skill of the writer for clarity, signposting the strongest features of a project. When a writer can take all of the jargon, all of the acronyms, and not only keep the reader's attention but make them want to read on they are at the top of their game. Rhona Jack showed great insight and an ability to highlight real business and customer benefits. To compete with 300+ entries from over 26 countries and deliver two wins and a Highly Commended reflects well on Rhona, as well as her clients".

Dan Barnes, Technology Editor for The Financial Times and Judge for The Banker Technology Awards

Client mentioned was Wincor Nixdorf and their clients Barclays Bank and HSBC.

Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide GOLD Award

"There was just one, truly outstanding Sole Practitioner/Small Team this year that the judges felt was head and shoulders above the rest in its category. With a range of great work, Rhona Jack is the only finalist and winner."

TV Presenter Susan Osman upon handing over the GOLD award.

National BBC Radio

According to national BBC Producer, Alex Grundon "You really know how to work a room!" Alex had observed me spend 20 minutes finding out who was the most senior media person in the room, in order to sell-in a story. Consequently, another client took part in the national Remembrance Day event at Trafalgar Square. She was interviewed by 22 BBC radio stations.

BBC TV Points West

"It's always difficult trying to do an 'on-the-day' story when interviewees can't be in places when you want them but BCPR were able to sort that out for us with 2 hours notice. The fact you had other contacts to add to the piece was brilliant.  As ever you came up with the goods!"

Steve Knibbs, Reporter for BBC TV Points West.

Datacom Europe & IT Reseller

"Over the last 9 years of working in this business this is the first time I have been impressed with the efforts of a PR agent. Not only do you know what you are talking about, but you are the first person to make me promise to run the PR for their company."

Peter West, Publications Manager.

Wiltshire Business Magazine & Swindon Advertiser

Editor Leigh Robinson comments "I have been the Business Editor for the Swindon Advertiser and the Wiltshire Business Magazine for the last four years. When I took the job Rhona was the first PR person to make contact with me. Since then I have had a wealth of stories from her, all well researched and accurate and mostly they have good photographs with them as well. Quality articles from PR companies are rare. Rhona's never were."

Leigh Robinson, former Fleet Street Journalist and Business Editor.

"On the Wiltshire Business we are always on the look out for strong visuals and this photograph certainly surpassed our expectations. Our editorial designer is hard to please but she was extremely impressed with the creativity and quality of the photograph." (See image to right for Sensata IT Client)
